Women, Infants & Children

Healthy Kids, Healthy Moms.

About our WIC Program

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a health and nutrition program that has demonstrated a positive effect on pregnancy outcomes, child growth and development. It is a federally-funded program that serves low and moderate income pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women, infants, and children up to age 5 who have a nutrition-related health problem.

WIC services at Baxter’s Health Center include nutritional evaluation from a registered dietician, immunizations, and the provision of supplemental food coupons. We are presently accepting new patients.

Please contact Rochelle at (616) 456-5310 and ask for WIC or ext. 241. You can also email us at

Did you know?

Breast milk contains antibodies that help your baby fight off viruses and bacteria. Breastfeeding lowers your baby’s risk of having asthma or allergies. Plus, babies who are breastfed exclusively for the first 6 months, without any formula, have fewer ear infections, respiratory illnesses, and bouts of diarrhea.
